Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her current role is working as a sportscaster at ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She began working for ESPN as a news anchor in 2016. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from her age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first position as producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she was a producer of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After this, she was hired by the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. Then she moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Antonietta was a senior in high school but she knew exactly what career path she wanted. When she was deciding whether Mount Union is the right choice for her, Antonietta visited the university. It was an amazing campus. They also offered her the program she was interested in. Her studies were completed and she was accepted into the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she's a part. They formed a strong friendship. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion in Journalism touched her deeply. In turn, she determined to meet his demands always delivering on time.
